Could Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson be headed for one of their infamous rough patches? In a classic mood-killing move, Char has apparently been nagging her rugby-loving boyfriend to propose to her. Romance, dead? Nah.
“She wants nothing more than a white wedding surrounded by her friends and family, but Gavin won’t listen to her,” a friend told Closer.
Nothing more than that, eh? Weddings are pretty expensive, you know, pal. Well actually, the cost isn’t the problem, because La Church has said she’d foot the bill. Added the source: “She’s offered to pay and for it to be as low-key as he wants, but he doesn’t want to hear it.”
“Gavin says Charl should be happy with what they’ve got and that she shouldn’t rock the boat. But she doesn’t understand why he doesn’t want to. She sees everyone else getting married and feels hard done by.”
And seeing other happy couples tying the knot hasn’t helped matters either – with reports in the papers about Joe Cole and Carly Zucker’s big day aggravating matters for ChaChu.
“Gavin doesn’t want to hear her going on about other people’s weddings,” explained the source. “When she mentioned Joe and Carly’s he got annoyed and she ended up in tears. It’s not that Gav doesn’t love her, it’s just that he has no interest in the fuss and stress of a wedding.”
Step up, Gav! We do love a big Church wedding…
